Wetteraussichten für das Wochenende: Samstag 34 Grad und Sonntag "kühle" 31 Grad mit Sommer, Sonne, Sonnenschein. Da hilft nur ein schattiges Plätzchen und ausreichend Getränke. Hier ein paar Beispiele bei uns im Kloster, wo es sich bestimmt angenehm verweilen lässt.

 

Am 16. Juli 2010 können einen Tag lang die Zuschauer von „Kaffee-oder-Tee?“, dem Service-Magazin im SWR-Fernsehen, in einem Workshop ihr Wissen rund um Kräuter vertiefen. Die Workshop-Teilnehmer erfahren viel über die Welt der kulinarischen Kräuter, über Vermehrung und Pflege, Ernte und Aufbereitung – quasi alles von der Aussaat bis zum Teller. Dabei hilft Ihnen SWR-Kräuterexperte Bernd Simon mit Tipps und Tricks. Unser Küchenchef Martin Opitz zeigt den Teilnehmern darüber hinaus, wie sie einfach und schnell schmackhafte Kräutergerichte zubereiten können. Doch bevor es so richtig losgeht, werden die Workshop-Teilnehmer bei einer kleinen Hausführung das Kloster und natürlich den Kräutergarten etwas näher kennenlernen.

Zusammen mit dem SWR-Kräuterexperten Bernd Simon und unseren Köchen sowie der Moderatorin Heike Greis werden die Teilnehmer am 16. Juli 2010 ab 10 Uhr morgens nicht nur an den Kräutern schnuppern, sondern auch vieles über Kräuter erfahren. Schon was vor an diesem Tag? Dann besuchen Sie das Kloster Hornbach doch einfach zu einer anderen Gelegenheit und spazieren in Ruhe durch unseren Kräutergarten. Atmen Sie tief durch und genießen Sie den Sommer. Auf Anfrage steht Ihnen unser Gärtner auch bei Fragen zu den Kräutern und Pflanzen gerne zur Verfügung.

Ab sofort können unsere Gäste genußvoll durch den Sommer radeln. In Zusammenarbeit mit der Firma movelo (www.movelo.de) stellen wir zwei so genannten E-Bikes, oder auch Pedelecs (Pedal Electric Cycles), zur Verfügung. Mit diesen modernen Fahrrädern lässt sich die abwechslungsreiche Landschaft rund um unser Kloster Hornbach, wie das Saarland, Elsaß-Lothringen oder die Südwestpfalz, mühelos und umweltfreundlich erkunden. Dank der ausgefeilten Technik der Pedelecs, die das Treten unterstützt, können selbst ungeübte Radler Anstiege und weitere Strecken spielend bewältigen. Für eine Leihgebühr von 19 Euro pro Tag und Fahrrad können unsere Gäste nun diese entspannte E-Power genießen.

Erkunden Sie zum Beispiel den "Europäischen Mühelnradweg", der ausgehend von Zweibrücken über das Kloster Hornbach entlang des idyllischen Tals des Flüsschens Schwalb nach Frankreich führt. Oder lassen Sie sich von uns einen Picknickkorb richten und Sie erkunden die wunderschöne Gegend auf eigene Faust. Eine gute Möglichkeit bietet dazu zum Beispiel unsere AusZeit  "Sommerfrische".

Der Frühling macht sich breit bei uns im Kloster Hornbach. Ehrlich gesagt - wir haben auch gar nichts dagegen. Im Gegenteil. Es riecht nach Blumen, Sonne, Sonnenschein und die Natur beginnt aus allen Ecken zu sprießen.
