Enjoy life
Slow down – and discover
Within a short drive from the Kloster Hornbach Hotel, in the area where Germany and France meet, countless inconspicuous treasures are waiting to be discovered and explored. There is the rose garden in Zweibruecken, for instance, said to be the most beautiful of its kind in all of Europe. Pirmasens, known as Germany’s shoe capital, is surrounded by a countryside marked by archaic cliffs and canyons. Nearby, in Rodalben, visitors can explore the region’s largest natural cavern. And the list goes on ... our receptionists will gladly offer additional suggestions.
Cruising – French style

A treat for all shopping fans
The nearby cities of Saarbrücken and Kaiserslautern offer plenty of shopping opportunities. But there are two closer destinations which many of our guests find of special interest: The town of Pirmasens and neighboring Hauenstein are known to insiders as the shoe capitals of Germany. It is rare to find a more comprehensive offer of different brands and styles – often at attractive factory outlet prices. And there is the "Zweibrücken Fashion Outlet", not even five miles down the road. This attractive open mall is all about clothes and accessories, and it is not unusual for teens, twens and grownups to spend the better part of a day there.
