A Celebration of Vines, Wine, and Great Company
A Palatinate Wine Weekend with Yalcin Dolgun & Edelbert Lösch
You know it’s summer in the Palatinate when the vines glow a rich green, and the vineyards draw you in. We’d like to invite you to spend a very special weekend here – one devoted entirely to Palatinate wine, and to the kind of unhurried, convivial time that’s increasingly hard to find these days.
The highlight is an excursion into the southern Palatinate. Our sommeliers, Yalcin Dolgun and Edelbert Lösch, will take a small group of wine-curious guests to visit selected local winemakers. A walk through the vineyards brings you to the very place where the wine begins – here you can stop for a moment and enjoy a picnic amongst the vines, right where it all happens.
The whole weekend is brimming with flavour and connection: two nights with breakfast at the Kloster Hornbach set the scene for indulgent days and relaxed evenings. On your first evening, a four-course dinner will set the scene for an introduction to Palatinate wines.
The next day, after your return from the southern Palatinate vineyards, the day winds down with a three-course menu.
Throughout the weekend, you can expect a few pleasant surprises along the way – and above all, plenty of time for good conversation, new connections, and that wonderful sense of being somewhere together.
