Celebrating at the Kloster Hornbach: your questions answered

There’s no room hire fee when celebrating in our restaurants.

For the “HochZeit” and “DenkMal” event rooms, the following applies:

• If your celebration in the “HochZeit” room has fewer than 55 adult guests, a supplementary fee of €30.00 per person applies for each person below the minimum.
• If your celebration in the “DenkMal” room has fewer than 20 adult guests, the same supplementary fee of €30.00 per person below the minimum applies.

For lunch events, we’re happy to provide the room until 4:30 p.m. 
From 4:30 p.m., a staffing surcharge applies:

• Up to 20 guests: €160.00 per hour
• Up to 45 guests: €220.00 per hour
• 46 or more guests: €265.00 per hour
• 70 or more guests: €320.00 per hour

To keep everything running smoothly, we recommend booking any late-night hours in advance. If the party’s still in full swing, you can also extend it on the night. In that case, the “same-day booking” rates apply. All charges are based on the number of guests agreed in your banquet contract.

For a personalised look, we recommend working with a florist – we’re happy to put you in touch with trusted partners. If you’d like our team to help with decorations, we charge €59.00 per hour per member of staff. Decorations are usually set up on the day. However, if bookings allow, this can also be done the day before.

Based on previous celebrations, the average cost for food and drinks is between €120.00 and €140.00 per person, from the start of the reception to the end of the evening.

As every celebration is unique, we don’t offer fixed packages. Instead, we plan every detail with you personally to make sure your celebration is exactly as you envision it.

A total of 48 rooms across the Kloster Hornbach and the Boutique Hotel Lösch are available to book for events.

We also work with nearby holiday apartments, most of which are within easy walking distance.

Tip: If you want your friends and family, all together under one roof – that’s the Lösch experience!

• You can pipe your own playlists through our built-in sound system via phone, laptop, or tablet.
• DJs and live bands are welcome in the “HochZeit” room (dance floor in the foyer) and the “DenkMal” room (dance floor in the room).

There are guest rooms directly above the event spaces, so we recommend booking these for your celebration. That way, you can party as late and as loudly as you like without disturbing other guests. There’s no curfew – celebrate as long as you wish. From midnight, a late-night surcharge applies in line with our terms and conditions.

Parking is available on the monastery grounds, across the street, and behind the building at Hauptstraße 30. 

Once you’ve decided on the Kloster Hornbach, you’ll receive a reservation confirmation and a banquet contract outlining all the agreed details.

• Please return the signed agreement within two weeks.
• To secure your booking, we require a 30% deposit of the estimated total.
• Detailed planning takes place 4 to 12 weeks before the celebration.

If you need external suppliers, we’re happy to share our recommendations. Please remember to book them as early as possible.

After the celebration, you’ll receive an invoice by post. Payment is due within 14 days. Additional payments on account are welcome at any time.

• Cancellation is free of charge up to 180 days in advance in accordance with the current terms and conditions. 

For peace of mind, we recommend taking out event insurance, for example, through HanseMerkur.

Absolutely. Both the “HochZeit” and the “DenkMal” rooms are accessible by lift. A separate nappy-changing room, a children’s toilet, and highchairs are available. 

No, unfortunately not. All rooms are fitted with smoke detectors linked directly to the fire service. If an alarm is triggered through negligence, the costs fall to the person responsible – or, failing that, the host.
