Your celebrant-led ceremony: our wedding venue in Rhineland-Palatinate

The all-round perfect setting

The Kloster Hornbach is more than a venue for a church wedding or celebrant-led ceremony in Rhineland-Palatinate – it’s a place with real presence and energy. A building that breathes history, rooms that bring people together, and an atmosphere that stays with you. Whether you choose a celebrant-led, church, or civil ceremony, your celebration will have depth, style, and a true feeling of belonging. Individual. Personal. Unforgettable. Just like your love story.

Civil ceremony – completely official, completely special

The former Abbot’s Chapel at the Kloster Hornbach – once a refuge for monks – is a branch of the Zweibrücken Land registry office, and it’s waiting to witness the next chapter in your love story.

Where Gregorian chants once filled the air, your “I do” will take centre stage. On selected dates each month, couples exchange vows beneath the ancient arches. What might be merely an official act elsewhere becomes pure magic here: a day that feels exactly as you always imagined it would.

Best of all, there’s no need to travel to a separate party venue. You arrive, say your vows in the chapel, and step straight into your celebration on the historic monastery grounds. From the ceremony to the Champagne reception, from the congratulations to the wedding breakfast – everything unfolds in one setting that wraps you in charm from first moment to last.

A note for planning: do contact your local registry office in good time.

  • Abbot’s Chapel: Ceremonies for up to 30 guests
  • St. Fabian’s Chapel or Hornbach Town Hall: Ceremonies for up to 90 guests

Your celebrant-led ceremony
– as unique as your love

Some love stories don’t need formalities – they need space, depth, and heartfelt words. A celebrant-led ceremony is open to all who want to celebrate their love – no set script, just meaning.

At the Kloster Hornbach, you can shape your celebrant-led ceremony to suit yourselves: in the garden, on the lawn, under open skies, or in an elegant indoor setting. Working with an independent celebrant such as Nadine Lang or Sabine Bach, you can create a ritual that truly resonates – genuine, personal, and to the point.

A celebrant-led ceremony speaks from the heart – personal, meaningful, and deeply connecting. Please note that, like a church wedding, it does not constitute a legally valid marriage under German law. You will need a civil ceremony for official recognition of your marriage.
