Four times a year, the Kloster Hornbach invites you to an evening that goes beyond dinner. A seasonal celebration you can taste, see, and feel – a whole atmosphere, not just a menu.
Beneath the cloister’s six-metre-high arches, we lay one long table – creating a place for curiosity, conversation, and shared enjoyment. Everyone sits side by side, brought together in this moment by the space, the setting, and its unmistakable sense of history.
What makes these nights so special is not just what’s on the plate. The table itself becomes the season’s stage. Herbs, flowers, branches, fruit – whatever nature is offering in the moment finds its way into the tablescape as well as the food.
The effect is natural, surprising, wonderfully sensory – and always different. Well before the first course arrives, the table is already drawing you into its story.
The March dinner opens our four-season series – a beginning you can feel in the quiet shift from stillness to growth, from winter’s hold to the first gentle promise of what’s to come.
It’s an evening made for slowing down. For sharing a table, letting conversation linger, and rediscovering the simple pleasure of paying attention: looking a little closer, tasting a little more deliberately, and spending time together.
